- Extra Jumbo chickpeas measure between 10 mm and 12 mm in diameter. These are the largest and most premium quality, often preferred for export markets and high-end retail.

- Jumbo chickpeas are typically 8 mm to 9 mm in size. This grade is widely popular and commonly used in everyday cooking and food processing.

- Medium chickpeas fall in the 7 mm to 8 mm range. They are the standard grade, frequently found in domestic markets.

- Small chickpeas measure around 6 mm to 7 mm. These are more economical and often used in bulk processing or for making flour.

- Splits or broken chickpeas are those below 6 mm. They are generally used for grinding into flour or in snack production.
